Valentine's Day Gift Basket for Babies

With Valentine’s Day next week, I wanted to put together a a gift basket for Joanie since it will be her very first Valentine’s Day. I had so much fun putting this basket together, and I’m excited to share the details of it with you! Most of these items I actually already had for Joanie, and decided to gather up her pink or love themed items for this collection. She’s not going to know the difference at only 10 months old, so I can get away with it this year. :)

Once I gathered all of my goodies for the basket, I went to Target to find a basket that would showcase all of the items, that I could then use for storage somewhere in my home. I found this wire basket with copper handles, and thought it would be the perfect size where you could see everything, and then work as storage in her closet.

The first thing I put in her basket was a blanket from Monica & Andy. I’ve actually had this blanket with sweetheart candies on them, and thought it would work perfect to lay in the basket before putting other items in. I absolutely love Monica & Andy’s clothing and accessories for Joanie. The quality is incredible! Unfortunately this exact pattern is no longer available, but they have TONS of prints available for both girls and boys here. I love the heart patterned one for girls and baby bears for boys.

The next thing I put in were both stuffed animals for Joanie. This llama was an Etsy find and I love how soft it is and it’s such a pretty pink color. I love the gold details on it too. They also make a grey one that would be perfect for boys and is equally as adorable!

You probably have heard of Slumberkins, and if you haven’t, they’re the most adorable stuffed animals that come with a book that promotes a specific social-emotional skill. Joanie has the Honey Bear, which promotes gratitude. The book is adorable, and we love reading it to her. They also have an entire Valentine’s Day collection out right now with the cutest Hedgehugs and Valentine’s cards. You can shop all of the Slumberkins here- they make the perfect gift!

Next up in our basket, is one of our absolute favorite baby item for meal time— the Pib. It works like an apron where it snaps in the back, and it keeps your babies’ clothes from getting dirty while eating. Even better, the Pib simply rinses off when finished and you hang dry it. No more soiled bibs and constant laundry! This is a game changer and I recommend them to all of my mom friends! They come in so many patterns for both boys and girls— we have the apron Pib and the sleeved Pib.

Another food related item I added where these Ryan & Rose Utensils and Teethers. I’ve heard great things about these for helping your baby start learning to use utensils, not to mention they’re adorable and also function as a teether! I found mine in my local Target.

I had to add a few clothing items in there as well— these Bird Rock Baby Rose Gold Mary Janes were adorable and I love the heart details on them. The quality of these shoes are amazing and remind me of the Freshly Picked ones, but for a fraction of the price! We have a pair of brown moccasins too. I also added a few hair bows in there that Joanie owns already— we love this pack from Amazon! I also got Joanie a cute new pair of pajamas with hearts on them, they came in a 2-pack at Target— she outgrew her 9 month ones basically overnight, and is now wearing 12 month jammies. I can’t believe how fast she’s growing! Her heart onesie is from Mini Mama Boutique and is perfect for Valentine’s Day. Her “heart you” onesie is from Sweet Peas + Sweeties, and they have the most adorable Valentine’s Day collection! I have the matching “heart you” sweater, and the quality is so soft!

I put in some of Joanie’s favorite Valentine’s books too. I picked Llama, Llama I Love You to go with her llama stuffed animal, and Guess How Much I Love You is one of our favorite classics.

Last but not least, is Joanie’s name puzzle. I love that this is totally customizable in whatever colors you’d like, and would make the perfect gift for an expectant/new mama or a baby/toddler.

I hope this has given you some inspiration and ideas to make a gift basket for your baby for Valentine’s Day. Use things you already own first (if your baby is young enough!), and then see what items you’d like to purchase to add to your basket. Happy Valentine’s Day!
