Joanie's Nursery Reveal
This room has been in the making for so long, and now that Joanie is 10 1/2 months old, her room is finally finished! Better late than never, right? At least I finished it before her 1st birthday! We moved into our home when Joanie was 4 weeks old, and hadn’t bought her any nursery furniture or decor yet since we didn't want to have to move it. I’ve been slowly collecting furniture and decor over the past few months, and I’m so excited to finally share this space with y’all! It’s hands down my favorite room in our home.
I knew I wanted to a farmhouse vibe in her room, while also keeping it somewhat girly with a vintage bohemian/floral theme as well. It can be tricky to tie both of those together since they’re totally different, and took lot of moving things around and trying to find the perfect pieces that blended well together.
At first I thought I wanted a white crib, but I fell in love with this vintage iron crib from Million Dollar Baby and used it as the focal point to decorate the room around. I’m so glad I went with it! Joanie loves her crib! I also wanted to get neutral furniture pieces so we could use the same furniture if we have a boy for a second child.
Joanie also absolutely loves her Pottery Barn chair! We got the Anywhere Chair size and it fits her perfectly! She loves climbing all over it and we got the cream sherpa color. Her wall decor above her chair are from various places— the crochet llama is from Etsy, the bear is from Faded Farmhouse, and the “fly me to the moon” sign is from HomeGoods.
Joanie’s cube storage shelving unit is from Walmart and is amazing quality for the price. Her round side table is from Target and is one of my favorites! You can use that in really any room.
Joanie’s dresser was a find I scored at a local antique shop in Spring Hill, and her eucalyptus wreaths are new from Hearth & Hand at Target. I love how they tie this space together! Her gold mirror is from Target as well and would look great in any room.
Joanie’s floating bookshelves are made by a friend of mine and sold on their Etsy shop. Installation was super easy and they have so many different colors to choose from. They also hold a ton of books!
Joanie’s rug from Boutique Rugs is my absolute favorite— I had been eyeing this rug since before Joanie was even born and knew I wanted to get it for her nursery. The colors are gorgeous! Another favorite is our babyletto chair. It’s so comfortable- it reclines, glides, and swivels!
Her name sign was hand painted by a friend of mine and given to us at my baby shower. I love how it ties in that farmhouse feel with a little bit of florals!
Last but not least, I’m obsessed with Caden Lane crib sheets. We have them in 3 different patterns that I rotate out to change the look in her room. I love the vintage floral pattern on these sheets. Her crib skirt is from High Cotton Textile and gives her room a little touch of pink. Her mobile is from an Etsy shop that makes handmade mobiles in so many different themes. I fell in love with this farm animal one.
