Ruggable: The Machine Washable Rug

When I first heard about the brand, Ruggable, I was so interested in this brand new game-changing rug. The rug comes in two different pieces— a nonslip rug pad and a lightweight rug cover. The rug cover is thin and very soft, and is able to peel right off (almost like a velcro) and can be thrown into the washing machine when it gets dirty! The nonslip rug pad is made of the same latex-free material used in yoga mats and sticks to the floor so well. The rug itself is waterproof and stain resistant, and so far, I’ve seen that to be true! All of their rugs are hypoallergenic and made from non-toxic materials, so they’re safe around babies and pets.I think this is true for any of us with pets and kids, but my dogs are constantly shedding all over the rugs, and spills and accidents are daily occurrence too. I decided to put my two Ruggables in high-traffic areas of my home— the kitchen and the entryway. That way, when kitchen spills happen, it’s super easy to clean up. Also, the entryway gets so much foot traffic, I figured this would be another great spot for a washable rug. No more worrying about getting stains out of rugs and scrubbing at it with a carpet cleaner.

Another great thing I love about Ruggable is that the rug covers are interchangeable. So once you have the non-slip pad, you can get different covers to be placed on top based on the season or if you feeling like your room needs a decor change every once in a while. I absolutely love this concept because I’m always wanting to change out my decor for a fresh feel in a room! A new rug can totally transform the look of a space too.
