Hi.

Sharing our 1920’s farmhouse renovations, home decor, homesteading life, and my motherhood journey as a girl mom. I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m so excited to be sharing one of my favorite spaces in our new house— the back patio! I have loved decorating this space. We’ll eat dinners out here with Joanie, relax when it’s cool(er) outside in the evening, and just enjoy some fresh air.

We debated a long time about whether or not we should get white patio furniture. I was really worried that it would get filthy and not be worth it, but since our patio is covered, it actually has worked great! If it gets dirty, hosing it off usually does the trick, and they are also machine washable which is always a win in my book! We ended up getting this loveseat from Home Depot. Our outdoor pillows are from Target and are sold out online, but it looks like they’re still in stock in select stores.

We also got the matching chair set from Home Depot.

We found the perfect coffee table at Target to pick up the color of the wood in the arms of the loveseat and chairs, and is currently 15% off with code JULY.

Our candle is also from Target and from my favorite section— Hearth & Hand. It’s a citronella candle and I love that it helps keep the bugs away on summer evenings.

Moving on to rugs, I love the layered look of having two rugs on the patio. We started off with just the circle one, but it needed to have a something underneath it so that it didn’t blend in with the porch floors. Our round woven rug is from Target and is unfortunately sold out now, but I found an extremely similar one here on Amazon for even cheaper! We ordered our rug from Rug Savings and is sold out there, but I found our rectangular rug in stock in the 8’x11’ size at Home Depot.

Regarding plants and planters, I got most of our pots from Lowes or Home Depot. I love the look of galvanized metal, grey, or terra-cotta pots! Most of our plants came from there or from Riverbend Nurseries. If you are local to the Nashville area, you must check them out in the Thompson’s Station area. They have every plant you could possibly want, and their prices are incredible—cheaper than a chain retailer. I wanted to go with a lot of greenery on our porch, and love how natural it turned out.

We also found a great deal on patio lights and love the look of them in the evening. One box allowed us to go around the entire porch. Our ceiling fan has been great to allow us to sit outside on a hot summer day.

I hope you are able to get some inspiration for decorating your patio space in your home! Even though it’s July, there’s still plenty of warm weather ahead (esp. if you live in the south!) to enjoy time on the porch. I’m looking forward to spending evenings in the Fall outside. Now that it’s considered end of the season in many stores, you can find a lot of great deals on patio furniture and more! Now’s a great time to make a purchase on a set if you’ve had your eye on one for a while.
