This may be my favorite gift guide so far! I’m beyond excited for Joanie’s first Christmas and I wanted to share some of my favorite baby toys— we own some of them, and others are on our wishlist! She’ll almost be 9 months old by Christmas (time slow down!) and I feel like she can really grow with all of these toys. You’ll notice that all of them are Montessori inspired as well. We own electronic toys and I have nothing against them, but wanted to share some more unique baby toy finds with y’all! I hope this helps you get some ideas for baby gift ideas for the little ones in your life!

  1. Science board books— We have two of these and absolutely love them! It’s adorable reading books about physics to Joanie and it helps me learn a thing or two as well. :) I found a set of them on Amazon which would be the perfect gift for a baby of any age!

  2. Pottery Barn Kids Sherpa Anywhere Chair— This is on my wishlist for Joanie this Christmas and love the cream sherpa color with the grey writing. They come in many sizes to accommodate all children. I chose to get the Anywhere size instead of the “My First Chair” so that she can use it longer.

  3. PIB bib— I can’t rave enough about our PIB. I discovered them on Instagram, and it’s a wearable bib that snaps in the back. Any food that spills on it is easily washed off in the sink and then I hang dry it for the next feeding, and wash it in the washer once a week. I was so tired of stained bibs and this is the best invention ever. HIGHLY recommend.

  4. Lace teepee— Another item on my wishlist for Joanie this Christmas, I want to get her a cute lace teepee for her playroom that I’m beginning to decorate. I want to add cute garland to the teepee, and add a rug and some pillows. This would be such a cute gift for any baby or toddler!

  5. Farm cube— Joanie loves playing with her mini cube we have, so I want to upgrade her to a bigger cube for Christmas (this one is farm themed too which I love!). I’ve heard these are a hit with babies!

  6. Slumberkins— I have had such wonderful things about Slumberkins! They have different animals and each one has a themed book that you read with your child that promotes and teaches a certain social-emotional life skill. This is so important to teach at a young age. Not to mention, the stuffed animals are adorable!

  7. Indoor crochet swing— For just under $50, I am obsessed with this indoor swing! With the colder months here now, going to the swing at the park isn’t as likely, so this would be such a great idea to help your baby burn some energy indoors!

  8. Lovevery Play Kits— I’ve done an entire blog post dedicated to Lovevery here and can’t say enough good things about this company. We have their play gym as well, and get Montessori play kits that are carefully curated every 2 months to meet your baby’s developmental stage. This would be an incredible gift to give!

  9. Personalized name puzzle— I feel like Joanie’s getting to the age where this would be so fun for her to start playing with. How cute is it that you can personalize the colors too? This would be such a thoughtful gift and is so affordable!

  10. Ball pit— This would be another great gift to give as it would keep a baby or toddler occupied for so long! They make these in customizable colors as well, and love that you can keep it neutral to match your home’s decor.

  11. Joovy Spoon Walker— We have this for Joanie and she’s starting to love it more and more now that she’s 8 months old. She can move forward in it now and practice walking, and the tray is big enough to hold a lot of toys to keep her occupied while I try to get things done around the house.

  12. Cuddle and Kind Dolls— The cutest dolls ever! I’ve been wanting to start a collection for Joanie, and know this dolls will stay with her throughout her childhood and can be passed down. I love their mission as well, and for every doll purchased, 10 meals are provided to children in need around the world.

  13. Nuby Teether— Joanie loves this teether now that teething is in full force! I can tell it helps massage her gums, and I’ll throw it in the freezer for it to be extra cold for her to chew on.

  14. Musical instrument set— Joanie loves going to music class each week, and a lot of the instruments she plays with there are in this affordable Amazon kit! A must have!

  15. Pottery Barn kids bear rocker— How cute is this rocker?! It can be personalized with your child’s name and they have so many different animals to choose from. A rocker would be a great gift for any baby for them to use for many years to come.

I hope you enjoyed this gift guide and were able to get some unique ideas for a baby’s first Christmas to make it even more special for them this year. Happy shopping!
