I wanted to do a roundup of some of my favorite books to read to Joanie, along with some of her favorites to “read,” a.k.a. play with. She has quite the collection of books in her bedroom, and I love these wooden floating shelves that my friend’s husband made for her nursery. They sell them in their Etsy shop— and you can check them out here. The quality is incredible and they can do many different stain colors to match your home’s aesthetic. Mine are in the color “Honey.” They hold SO many books too!

This is actually just a small amount of the books we own for Joanie, I have a bookshelf in her playroom that has a lot of books I kept from my childhood, along with some books from when I was teaching. Joanie has no shortage of books, and am always picking her up some new board books. I love reading, and I want to instill that same love for books in her. Her teepee area is just about finished in her playroom, and I hope she loves to curl up in there with her books when she’s older.
