I’ve so so excited to partner with Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit and share my experience with ya'll. They call it magic for a reason- it truly is magical in my opinion! Joanie loved her miracle swaddle so much, that when it came time to transition out of it, I was nervous. She had just hit the 4 month sleep regression and was waking more frequently during the night, and trying to break out of the swaddle very consistently. I knew it was time for a change.

When it came time to choose what to transition her to, I had a Magic Sleepsuit and traditional sleep sacks as well. I tried the regular sleep sack first and Joanie hated the freedom of movement and couldn’t self-soothe herself to sleep. When I put her in the Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit for the first time for a nap, I was so happy that she was able to self-soothe herself in a matter of minutes! It definitely helped make her feel more secure when transitioning out of the swaddle, not mention she looked adorable in her pink puffy suit.

The way the suit is designed, Joanie is able to receive all of the warmth and support from the swaddle, but with the freedom to move her arms and legs without them being restricted. I have had moms ask me if it’s safe for them to sleep in it at night, and it definitely is when used correctly! Joanie sleeps in hers every night and she’s 7 and a half months old. Joanie sleeps in it either in her pack n play or a crib, and we use the recommended room temperature for babies to ensure she stays at a comfortable temperature while in the suit. We haven’t had any problem whatsoever with her temperature in her Magic Sleepsuit. It’s only recommended for back sleeping, but Joanie sleeps on her back and has yet to show us she’s ready for more freedom of movement while sleeping. Once she starts showing us signs of trying to roll and wiggle around it it, I know it’ll be time to transition her out of her Magic Sleepsuit.

Joanie sleeps so well in her suit, and now associates it with nap & bed times. It’s easy to take on and off, and she will self-soothe herself in a few minutes to sleep every time. She definitely sleeps longer stretches in it, and will typically wake 1-2 times in the night and sleep 5-6 hours at a time. She’ll nurse and go right back to sleep in her suit. Part of me doesn’t want her to outgrow it because I don’t know what I’ll put her in to sleep next!

If you have a baby ready to transition out of the swaddle, seriously look no further. The Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit is the perfect solution. It will help comfort your baby and help prevent their startle reflex, and keep them cozy so they can self-soothe and fall asleep with ease. I love that I’m able to get peace of mind knowing Joanie is safe and getting the rest she needs every night.
